About

One person, in Bristol, who sets AI up properly

Vantage is run by Dan Fitsall. There's no team, no offshore delivery and no account manager. That's a feature.

The story

Twelve years of watching good people drown in admin

I spent nearly twelve years in recruitment before this. Placing engineers, mostly, into businesses of every size. The pattern was the same everywhere: the best people spent close to half their week on work nobody had hired them for. Writing things up, chasing, re-typing, formatting.

When the current wave of AI arrived, I did what most owners do. I tried it, was impressed for an afternoon, and then went back to doing things by hand, because it didn't know my business and setting it up felt like a project.

Eventually I did the setup. Custom instructions, projects for each type of work, my price lists and templates loaded, a handful of saved prompts. It took a day. And then it stuck, because using it was faster than not using it.

That's the whole business. I come to your place (or your screen), do that day for your team, and leave you with a written plan for what to do next. If the plan shows something worth building, I can build it. If it doesn't, I'll say so.

Vantage started in 2026 as an automation agency selling to five specific sectors. That didn't work, and I'd rather tell you that than pretend otherwise. What people actually needed was the first step, done properly, at a price that didn't require a leap of faith. So that's what it is now.

How I work

Three rules that cost me business and keep it honest

No invented proof

You won't find made-up case studies, fake testimonials or a logo wall here. When we have real results we can share, with permission, you'll see them. Until then, every example on this site is labelled as illustrative.

Say what's not worth doing

Every roadmap has a section called "What I'd ignore". Half the value of a good advisor is being told what to leave alone. That includes telling you not to hire us for something.

Start small, earn the next step

The Kickstart is £500 because that's a decision an owner can make in a week. Anything bigger has to be justified by what the day finds, not by a pitch.

What I do, in one screen

Set up. Train. Roadmap. Build only if it pays.

The Claude Kickstart is where everyone starts: £500, half or full day, on-site across Bristol, Bath and the South West or remote anywhere in the UK. The Launchpad and Accelerate packages exist for businesses whose roadmap shows an automation worth building properly.
